Journeyman Electrician

Run residential and light commercial service calls on your own: diagnose the fault, quote it, fix it right the first time.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose and repair faults on service calls, from tripping breakers to dead circuits.
  • Install and upgrade panels, subpanels, generator transfer switches and inlets.
  • Wire new circuits, GFCI/AFCI protection, lighting and fixtures to the NEC and Alaska amendments.
  • Give customers a clear price before work starts, and keep the job site clean.
  • Take part in the after-hours emergency rotation.
  • Mentor apprentices on the job.

  • Keep the van stocked and organized, and the job site safe and clean.
  • Document your hours for your apprenticeship record.
